A tremendous book. The entertaining melange of anecdotes, analysis, and rumination kept me fascinated throughout. The concluding essay on the ontogeny/ontology of gambling is a masterpiece and should be required reading for anyone who wants to pontificate about risk and reward. This is something like the perfect gambling book. I recommend it to anyone who has even the vaguest
interest in "literary" works about the subject.
